Chia Seed Pudding with Blue Spirulina

Chia seed pudding with blue spirulina is not only a visually stunning treat but also a powerhouse of nutrition. This recipe combines the health benefits of chia seeds, such as omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and protein, with all the benefits of our Blue Spirulina!

  • 2 cups unsweetened milk ( you can use Oat Milk or Almond Milk or any plant-based milk of your choice)
  • 1/4 cup greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup chia seeds
  • 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup (or sweetener of choice, adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoon Gunam Blue Spirulina powder (depending on desired color intensity)
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)

Optional Add-ins:

  • Chocolate chips
  • Berries or Fruit
  • Rolled oats
  • Coconut flakes (for added texture)
  • Chopped nuts (for a crunchy topping)

  1. Mix the Base: In a mixing bowl, combine milk, greek yogurt, chia seeds, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Whisk thoroughly to prevent clumping.

  2. Add Spirulina: Add the blue spirulina powder to the mixture. Start with 1/2 teaspoon and add more if you want a deeper blue color. Mix until the color is uniform.

  3. Let It Set: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. The chia seeds will expand and absorb the liquid, turning into a thick, gel-like pudding.

  4. Serve: Once set, give the pudding a good stir to ensure the texture is consistent throughout. If the pudding is too thick, you can thin it by stirring in a little extra milk.

  5. Garnish and Enjoy: Spoon the pudding into serving bowls or glasses. Top with fruit, and any additional toppings like coconut flakes or sliced almonds.

This chia seed pudding with Blue Spirulina is not only a feast for the eyes but also nourishes the body, making it a perfect breakfast, snack, or dessert. Enjoy its refreshing taste and impressive nutritional profile!
